For some weeks now, the rate of Exotic and Sophisticated Cars passing through the Lekki expressway has reduced drastically following reports that EFCC & FBI are raiding the Area in search of Internet Fraudsters popularly known as Yahoo Boys.
A report has it that some have abandoned their Exotic cars and now go about in Taxify and Uber cars, some said to have flew away from their houses pending the time the issue wet down a bit.
The raid that occurred at the early hour of Saturday at Club 57, Ikoyi where the EFCC officials got hold of about 12 Yahoo boys and seized about 10 Exotic cars further proved to them that this is not a Fluke and the EFCC are not here to pamper anyone.
24 hours after the raid, Lekki, Victoria Island, Badore, Ajah and Ikoyi axis where hundred of Yahoo boys resides looks totally like a graveyard and not even 1 person was seen flocking around.
According to one Sulaimon who aired his opinion on Twitter, said Yahoo Boys are smart and won’t come out knowing full well that Danger looms outside and this will drastically reduce the success of the EFCC in apprehending these Internet fraudsters.
He, however, suggested that the EFCC should introduce the “Whistle Blowing Policy” so Nigerians can report any suspected Internet Fraudsters they know or lives around them.
